September 06, (THEWILL) — Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited is set to promote its Islamic investment products in Kano State as part of efforts to expand access to ethical and Shariah-compliant investment opportunities in the state. The Manager, Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited, Kano Office, Mr Kabir Ibrahim, disclosed this on Wednesday during an investment awareness roadshow organised by the company in Kano.

Ibrahim said the initiative would focus on creating awareness about investment opportunities available in the capital market, including the company’s Islamic investment products such as the Halal Fund and Islamic estate planning services.

According to him, the awareness campaign was aimed at enabling residents to make informed investment decisions and generate returns without compromising their religious and ethical values. He said, “The company will create awareness on various investment instruments available to the public and how they can generate returns from their investments.

“Afrinvest has been in existence for 30 years, and we have been operating in Kano for the past two years.” Ibrahim said the roadshow was also part of efforts to deepen the company’s presence in Kano and reassure residents of Afrinvest’s commitment to providing investment solutions in the state.

“Afrinvest is doing a proper activation to let people know that there are different investment instruments they can use to have returns on their investments,” he added. The manager described Afrinvest as a capital market holding company with operations covering major areas of the capital market.

He said the company had about seven subsidiaries, including Afrinvest Asset Management, Afrinvest Securities, Afrinvest Trustees and Afrinvest Consulting, among others.

Ibrahim added that one of the company’s subsidiaries assisted organisations to raise capital, while its microfinance arm was being developed. He urged members of the public to explore investment opportunities suitable for their financial needs and seek professional advice before investing.

Afrinvest encouraged investors interested in Shariah-compliant investment options to take advantage of the company’s Islamic investment products, including the Halal Fund and estate planning services.

“We want people to know that they can invest through Shariah-compliant methods, including estate planning and the Halal Fund,” the manager said.
