November 16, (THEWILL) – Governor Ademola Adeleke has approved the suspension of the Chief Judge of Osun State, Justice Oyebola Ojo.
The suspension was conveyed in a statement issued on Thursday evening, by the Governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed.
“The Executive Governor of Osun State, Governor Ademola Adeleke, has approved the resolution of the Osun State House of Assembly, asking the Osun State Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo, to step aside the pending investigation of allegations of misconduct, abuse of power, corruption, and disregard for rule of law against her by the House of Assembly”, the statement read in part.
THEWILL earlier reported that the Ibadan Division of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN), on Thursday, restrained Governor Adeleke from removing Adepele Ojo as Osun CJ.
