September 11, (THEWILL) – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will host its first-ever Coaches Symposium in Abidjan, Ivory Coast between September 12 and 13.
The event will bring together 50 national team coaches from CAF Member Associations, including renowned African football legends.
Notable attendees include Jay Jay Okocha (Nigeria), Elhadji Diouf (Senegal), Gadji Celi (Ivory Coast), Antoine Bell (Cameroon), Mark Fish (South Africa), and Otto Addo (Ghana). Other prominent figures set to participate are Augustine Eguavoen (Nigeria), Luis Boa Morte (Guinea-Bissau coach), and Pape Thiaw (Senegal).
The symposium aims to facilitate knowledge exchange among Africa’s top coaches. Emerse Faé, who led Ivory Coast to victory in the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2023, will share his experiences with fellow coaches.
This gathering represents a significant step in developing African football coaching expertise. By bringing together diverse perspectives and experiences, CAF hopes to enhance the quality of coaching across the continent.
The two-day event is expected to cover various aspects of football coaching, including tactics, player development, and team management. It provides an opportunity for African coaches to network, learn from each other, and contribute to the growth of football in their respective countries.
