2023: Ward Councillors Back Umahi, Nwifuru Odah’s Aspiration

April 27, (THEWILL) – Ward councillors of Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi State have thrown their weight behind the presidential ambition of the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr David Nweze Umahi.

The legislators also gave their backing to the incumbent Chairman of Ohaukwu local government area, Hon. Barrister Clement Omenkannaya Odah, who is aspiring to represent the people of Ohaukwu and Ebonyi local government areas in the house of representatives.

The lawmakers arising from their statutory meeting at 135, Ezzangbo after careful deliberation, were unanimous in their support to the duo of the Governor and the Council Chairman.

They said, “We unanimously adopt our dear Governor, Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi state, as our sole candidate for election as president of Nigeria come 2023. Similarly we lend our voice and wholly support the adoption by the Governor of Rt. Honourable Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, as the APC gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 Governorship election in Ebonyi State.

“This adoption is borne out of the wonderful developmental strides of His Excellency, our dear Governor since 2015, till date which has earned him the status of the best Governor in Nigeria

“In the same manner and spirit, the Councillors, hereby, adopt our own Boss, Chief. Barr. Clement Omekannaya Odah, as the sole candidate from Ohaukwu Local Government for election into the House of Representatives to represent Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency come 2023.

“The decision of the Councillors is due to a holistic assessment of the rare leadership qualities, absolute loyalty to our Governor and capacity so far demonstrated by our dear Chairman and boss in his position as Council Chairman since 2015 till date”, they said.
