February 18, (THEWILL) – The Cross River State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party has staged a five million-man fitness walk in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
The fitness walk was graced by a considerable number of party faithful and kicked off at the Mellenium Park in Calabar.
Speaking during the fitness walk, the state chairman of the party, Venatius Ikem, said the walk is a show of strength and a stamp of authority.
“This walk is a show of strength and a stamp of authority that we can march the streets freely, vote freely and that our people have made their position known and vote PDP.
“We need to March and keep fit so that when all of us must have left for our various communities to vote those who will be leaving behind will have the courage/strength to do what they must do.
“I know that we have made up our minds to vote all candidates 5/5 from Atiku Abubakar for president, Sandy Onor for governor and others in between.
“We will March like this, in peace and solidarity and March until Saturday”, he said.
He commended party faithful for coming out despite very challenging circumstances citizens find themselves in, especially as it has to do with cash and transportation.
