June 21, (THEWILL) – The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Rivers State, Honourable Ezebunwo Ichemati, has charged members of his caretaker committee (CTC), to ensure the integrity of their offices while discharging their duties with a high level of professionalism.
Speaking during the inauguration of members of the committee in Port Harcourt on Thursday afternoon, Hon. The chairman, who condemned the belligerent attitude of those hellbent on ensuring the state was in crisis and flames, assured that in carrying out the governor’s peace directive to the letter, he would use lawful means to address any hostile reaction to peace.
Earlier, Chief Ogbams Ojimah, who spoke on behalf of the other 5 members, assured Hon Ichemati of their resolve to abide by the oath of office they have taken and their support to actualise the dreams and goals of his CTC administration.
The brief ceremony was attended by Manuchim Omezurike, the member representing Port Harcourt Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives; Charles Amadi, Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Community Affairs; Mrs Helen Chirolu, who led other principal officers of Port Harcourt City LGA, Directors and members of Staff, as well as the leader of the Simplified Movement in the LGA.
