December 02, (THEWILL) – With the year coming to an end, everyone is anticipating to make the most out of the festive season by safely engaging in activities that will make them forget the travails of 2020 and 2021, and celebrate every single moment moving forward.

The month of December is upon us again and as we know it comes with the usual festivities, “jaiye jaiye’” and all sorts of fun.

The beautiful thing about the month of December is that apart from it being the month of the birth of Christ, it is also the last month of the year which ushers the new year.

So, December is that month many thank God for keeping them alive from the beginning of the year till the end of the year. This calls for celebration and merrymaking.

Also, many use the month to make plans and projections for the upcoming year and plan their new year resolutions.

So, having established the significance of December, at this point, let us talk about the places one can have some fun this season. As stated earlier, December is a month with a beehive of activities. Everywhere is buzzing with activities.

If you are travelling to the village to see folks and relatives, you can find out if your village, community, or even nearby communities is hosting a concert or a festival. During this period there are many festivals organised in villages.

However, if you are not travelling and you are based in either Lagos or Abuja, these are some of the concerts lined up this month.

Livesport music festival: This event is scheduled to be held in Lagos on the 18th of December. This is a six-day event and it is the talk-in-town.

These past few weeks, the news of the reunion of Psquare have dominated the media space. As such, many people are itching to see the duo singing together. We all missed the beautiful hits of the celebrity twins as the duo know how to get Nigerians dancing to their songs.

So, anyone who finds himself in Lagos on the 16th of December and is a lover of the “busy body” group can find time to attend this event and experience the first reunion of the twins.
P-Square Brothers

Apart from Psquare, other singers that are billed for the event are Tiwa Savage, Tems, Wizkid among others. Every follower of events will recall that there was a time the “backside” of Tems was a thing of debate.

Thus, anyone who still fancy having a “very good view” of the singers’ backside should as well attend the show and maybe Tems might do “shedibala” for your viewing pleasure.

Ladies searching for a life partner should join Tiwa Savage to jointly sing about “somebody’s son finding them one day” and also “gbe body” on that day. The event is a bomb. Tickets for this show can be purchased on www.livespotnation and ariyatickets.com.

This December, the singer will be hosting an event at Harrow park in Abuja on the 19th of December. Fans of Davido can get their tickets at ariyatickests.com if they want to be a part of the concert.

You can see that the month of December is a period of “Mme Mme” (celebration). If you like you can call it a detty December. There are parties everywhere and the events outlined above are just only a fraction. The Calabar Carnival is one of the events anyone who stays in Calabar shouldn’t miss for anything in the world. There are no tickets for this event. It is more of a street party. The sights and sounds of the Calabar Carnival alone can make a blind and a deaf man go green with envy. The emergence of Covid-19 last year prevented many social activities in December last year. However, things have since opened up and in all of these events itemized above, the organisers have outlined plans that those coming into the program adhere to Covid-19 precautions. Just like it is stated in many alcoholic beverage advertisements, “drink responsibly”, the fun seeker should ensure that he or she doesn’t jeopardise the safety of himself and others in the course of fun seeking as there will be another December for another fun seeking and merry making.
