Yoruba Govs Hold Emergency Meeting On Sunday Igboho

July 03, (THEWILL) – The six governors in the South-West geo-political zone have held an emergency virtual meeting over current national issues, with a key focus on security agents’ raiding of the private home of Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho.

The meeting was chaired by Ondo State’s Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, who is the Chairman of the South-West Governors’ Forum.

Also in attendance at the Friday evening meeting were: Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Gboyega Oyetola (Osun) and Seyi Makinde (Oyo).

A source familiar with the meeting told THEWILL that top on the agenda of the meeting was the raid by operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) on the Ibadan residence of yoruba secessionist agitator, Sunday Igboho.

During the raid, 13 of Igboho’s guards and close associates were arrested and paraded by the DSS, while two of his followers were reportedly killed.

However, Igboho had escaped the raid but his house and cars were riddled with bullets while bloodstains were spread all over the floor of the house.

The secret police have since declared Igboho wanted.

He is being accused of stockpiling weapons to destabilise the country.

Igboho ha ssince denied the allegation, noting that he fights with metaphysical powers and not ammunition.
