October 02, (THEWILL) – Grammy award-winning singer, Ayodeji Balogun, aka Wizkid, has reignited his long-standing rivalry with singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido, sparking a heated exchange with fans on social media.
The drama started on Tuesday after Davido announced his first single of 2024. The singer revealed the track will be a hit celebrating Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day.
However, Wizkid, who seemed unimpressed, took to his X page to write, “Pussy boys dropping mid again.”
“Una don tire! Make una go rest small,” he added.
Although he did not mention Davido, his fans quickly interpreted the post as a clear shot at the singer.
Defending Davido, a fan fired back, accusing Wizkid of chasing clout using the singer’s name. The user wrote: “So if you no beef @davido your song won’t sell?”
Responding, Wizkid said: “I don’t beef wack niggas! We all know he’s wack! No talent.”
Still unsatisfied, Wizkid dismissed Davido’s extensive discography as trash, arguing that his catalogue boasts superior songs.
He continued: “80 trash! We got 80 albums for any song y’all drop! Pussy boys.”
Davido is yet to respond to the barrage of insults from Wizkid.
In May, a fight ensued between Davido and Wizkid on X after Wizkid mocked him and Michael Collins Ajaere, aka Don Jazzy, the Mavin Records head honcho.
Wizkid referred to Don Jazzy as an “influencer” while taunting Davido with a video of him on his knees, pleading and crying after a fan asked him to release new music.
Davido also retaliated, labelling Wizkid’s career as “dead”.
