March 01, (THEWILL) – Athletic Club cruised past Atlético Madrid with a 3-0 win in the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final tie. The dominant victory sets up a clash with RCD Mallorca in the 2024 final, with Los Leones seeking a record 24th cup triumph.
The Williams brothers proved decisive, combining twice in the first half to give the hosts a two-goal lead. Nico Williams delivered an inch-perfect cross for Iñaki Williams to volley home and double Athletic’s aggregate lead.
