September 16, (THEWILL) – Popular American rapper, Nicki Minaj, has been invited to the White House over her stance on the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine.
THEWILL recalls that the rapper had stated in a Twitter post that she won’t be attending the Met Gala because she had yet to receive the vaccine, which was required for attendees.
Her comments have since sparked widespread attention, including an invite to the White House to discuss the vaccine’s efficacy.
“As we have with others, we offered a call with Nicki Minaj and one of our doctors to answer questions she has about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine,” a White House official said in a statement on Wednesday night.
Reacting on her trip to the White House, Minaj took to her Twitter account on Wednesday saying that she would “be dressed in all pink like Legally Blonde so they know I mean business”.
“I’ll ask questions on behalf of the people who have been made fun of for simply being human,” she added.
THEWILL writes that on Monday, Minaj had stated that her cousin’s friend in Trinidad and Tobago “became impotent” after he got the vaccine, a claim that the nation’s minister of health, Terrence Deyalsingh, rejected.
