Victory Group Donates Campaign Materials, Cash To APC Candidates In Cross River

September 18, (THEWILL) – The Victory Group, a socio-political organisation in Cross River State, has donated cash and campaign materials worth N30 million to candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Cross River State.

The donation was made in Calabar during the official opening of the Victory Group Secretariat, located at Ivara Esu Road, in Calabar.

A breakdown of donation, shows that N5 million (cash and Campaign materials), will go to the party’s Guber Candidate, Senator Prince Bassey Otu.

N4.5 million (Cash and Campaign Materials) will go to each of the three senatorial candidates of the party.

These are Ekpenyong Asuquo (Southern Senatorial District Candidate), Eteng Williams (Central Senatorial District Candidate) and Professor Ben Ayade (Northern Senatorial District Candidate).

Similarly, N1.5 million will go to each of the eight candidates for the House of Representatives.

Speaking in Calabar while handing over the donation to the party’s governorship candidate, Joseph Edet, the DG of the victory group, said the main aim of the group is to market all candidates of the party.

He said they have not come to take from the system, but to give back to it because it is for the good of the people of the state.

“This is our team and there is one vision we have which is to market the best hands in 2023 from the gubernatorial all the way down to the assembly elections.

“We have come not to take from the system but to give back because the elections is beyond us and is for the good of the people of the state”, he said.

Also speaking, Dr Janet Ekpenyong, an official of the group and DG of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, said they are a team that have decided to come together and add value to the APC campaign in the state.

She said the group will mobilise resources and ensure the success of APC candidates in the next general elections.

On his part, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, the APC Guber flag bearer for Cross River State, thanked the group for investing in what is going to be “our common patrimony.”

“I am so happy you invested in what is going to be our common patrimony.

“Looking at the group in terms of combat readiness and physiology, it looks like people who were carefully selected.

“I will continue to build and strengthen our youths in human capital development, change the lives of our people and also make the state a destination”, Prince Otu said.
