September 08, (THEWILL) – Tanzanian rapper, Vanessa Mdee, has announced that she is expecting a baby with Nigerian-born Hollywood actor and singer, Akinosho Olurotimi, better known as Rotimi.
Mdee announced this on Tuesday on her Instagram page as she shared pictures of herself holding her baby bump.
“The greatest gift of all. Thank you Jesus for choosing us. It is a true honour. We are overjoyed,” she wrote.
Also, Rotimi, shared the pictures of the expectant parents on his page with the caption, “You belong to the museum baby. Buttascotch Prince on the way”.
Revealing the gender of the baby, the singer vowed his protection for the mother and their son.
“My greatest gift has been you, you changed my life and now we’re beautifully linked forever, to raise a little us. I pray our son has your glow, your heart, your mind and your spirit. I will protect you and our son with everything I have,” he wrote.
In an exclusive interview with People, Mdee stated that the journey has been a smooth one so far with minor challenges as the pregnancy approaches its final weeks.
“He’s been so good to us. No real pain or symptoms. Some funny cravings and food aversions here and there. It’s been much harder in these final weeks because he’s preparing his arrival, but all in all we’ve been super blessed,” she said.
