UniAbuja ASUU Declares Indefinite Strike

May 2, (THEWILL) – The University of Abuja branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared an indefinite strike to draw attention to developments in the institution.

Chairman of the branch, Dr. Sylvanus Ugoh, who confirmed the development, said the resolution was made during a congress meeting held at the institution’s Permanent Site.

THEWILL reports that the undergraduate students of the university are currently writing its first semester examinations.

Ugoh said the lecturers had resolved to embark on an indefinite strike beginning from Thursday, to raise awareness of the development that affects the union.
