Unbelievable: 70 Trucks Of Grains For Adamawa IDPs Still Missing

GTBCO FOOD DRINL

BEVERLY HILLS, September 08, (THEWILL) – About 70 trucks of grains sent to Adamawa State by the Presidency as part of the initiatives for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of the Boko Haram insurgency have not been delivered to the targeted persons.

Although, a few bags of grains were distributed in the state some months back, there are strong indications that the distribution did not get to the IDPs but given out to party loyalists and their cronies.

THEWILL recalls that the office of the Secretary to Government of the Federation, SGF, in June 2016 had flagged off the distribution of grains allocated to the state.

The SGF, represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Policy Development and Analysis, Alhaji Ibrahim Bapetel, announced that 40 trucks were on ground for distribution at the time, promising that the remaining would arrive later.

However, THEWILL gathered that the remaining trucks were yet to arrive even as a member of the House of Representatives, representing Madagali and Michika Federal constituency, Adama Kamale, expressed worry that the commodities went into the wrong hands.

Kamale declared that Madagali and Michika local governments, being his constituency and most affected local governments by the insurgency, did not receive a single grain.

He insisted, as the representative of the people, that the people of Michika and Madagali did not benefit from the so-called distribution.
