January 16, (THEWILL) – The UK Government has announced an additional £15 million in hardship funding for international students.
The Funds, the government said will be distributed to universities, who will, in turn, give to students, who are having a hard time keeping up with rising costs.
British Minister for Skills, Apprenticeships, and Higher Education, Robert Halfon, said the additional fund will expand upon the $261 million student premium fund earlier allocated to help underprivileged students.
Halfon also said the additional funding will supplement assistance that universities are offering through their bursary, scholarship, and hardship support schemes.
