October 23, (THEWILL) – Bayern Munich boss, Thomas Tuchel, has lavished praise on star striker Harry Kane ahead of their UEFA Champions League match against Galatasaray on Tuesday. Kane took his tally to 10 goals in 11 appearances when he found the net in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Mainz.
Tuchel described the England captain as “more than talented” and “absolutely world-class”. He added that persuading Kane to leave England was a success and the striker has made an excellent start at the German giants.
Bayern travel to Turkey sitting top of Group A, having won their opening two matches. However, Galatasaray have also started well, drawing with Copenhagen before a surprise victory over Manchester United. Tuchel is aware of the threats posed by the Turkish champions on their own ground.
Kane will, therefore, be key if Bayern are to maintain their 100% record and move five points clear in the group. Tuchel says Kane is still adapting but will get even better as he spends more time training with his new teammates.
The Chelsea UCL-winning coach knows every game is a challenge at this level. Bayern will have to be at their best to overcome Galatasaray and take a major step towards the knockout stages. However, with Kane in top form, they will fancy their chances of making it three wins out of three.
