SAN FRANCISCO, December 18, (THEWILL) – President Trump has agreed to dissolve his charity and give away the remaining $1.75 million in its account, state Attorney General Barbara Underwood announced Tuesday.
The shutdown comes as the AG is in the middle of an investigation into the charity.
Underwood said that her investigators found “a shocking pattern of illegality involving the Trump Foundation — including unlawful coordination with the Trump presidential campaign, repeated and willful self-dealing, and much more.”
“This is an important victory for the rule of law, making clear that there is one set of rules for everyone,” she added in a statement.
