Trossard Scores Arsenal’s 1,000th Goal At Emirates

November 11, (THEWILL) – Arsenal reached a historic milestone, notching their 1,000th goal at the Emirates Stadium. The goal came from Leandro Trossard’s opener in their match against Burnley on Saturday.

The Belgian winger netted the landmark goal just before the break, after a brilliant header from Bukayo Saka. The goal started a 3-1 victory for the Gunners, who moved up to second place in the English Premier League table.

The Emirates Stadium, which opened in 2006, has witnessed many memorable goals from Arsenal players over the years. Gilberto Silva netted the first goal at the new stadium, as well as a goal by Emmanuel Adebayor on August 19 that year in a match against Aston Villa.

Since then, the club has scored 999 more goals, with notable milestones being Robin van Persie scoring the 300th goal and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang making it 700. The club’s 500th goal was scored by current manager Mikel Arteta against Anderlecht on November 4, 2014.

The 900th goal was scored by Charlie Patino on December 21, 2021, in a match against Sunderland.
