September 28, (THEWILL) – The Cross River State Chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has charged the State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, not to betray the goodwill of the people.

The State Chairman of the association, Apostle Dr. Trinity Ogar, stated this in Calabar while formally reacting to the victory of the Governor at the State Elections Petition Tribunal.

Apostle Ogar said the coast is now clear and the expectation is very high. He charged the Governor to justify the goodwill invested in him by the people of the State and show his opposers that they were fighting a wrong cause.

“Now that the coast is clear and the Governor has won the case, the expectation is still very high from Cross Riverians. They should do something not to betray the goodwill of the people.

“They should show more work and deliver dividends of democracy to Cross Riverians so that even people opposing them will understand that they are fighting a wrong cause.

“We should support the Governor and ensure he excels so we can have a good State,” he said.

Apostle Ogar, who doubles as the Lead Pastor of Goldcity Gospel Ministry International, charged the petitioners against the victory of the Governor to sheathe their swords in the overall interest of the State.

The three-man panel of the tribunal in the state, headed by Justice Oken Inneh, unanimously dismissed the petition filed by Sen. Sandy Onor and the PDP.
