July 29, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actress turned politician, Tonto Dikeh, has stated that she has lost some of her investments to the flood, which has been ravaging the nation.
The deputy governor candidate of River State, under the platform of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, lost over 800 poultry birds to the flood.
The mother of one ventured into a series of businesses after she took a break from acting. One of her business ventures is a poultry farm, but unfortunately, natural disasters seem to be affecting the smooth running of the farm.
She took to social media on Friday, to make her loss known.
“Woke up to the sad reality of the rainy season, #flood. Lost over 800 of my poultry babies. All I can say is, I am chosen. I am chosen. Flood who are you”, she lamented.
Many of her fans have been sympathising with her since the post was uploaded.
Floods have been ravaging many parts of Nigeria since the rainy season began. Many have lost their properties and even lives to it in some parts of the country.
A few weeks ago, cars were swept away with occupants in it in Lagos State by the flood.
