September 27, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu’s return to Nigeria has suffered a last-minute twist, with his planned return to the country now delayed, according to sources in the Presidency.
Tinubu was expected to return to Nigeria this weekend after spending several weeks in Europe on a working vacation.
However, sources in the Presidency confirmed that the President’s return had been delayed, although the reason for the sudden adjustment was not immediately known.
There was also no immediate information on a new date for his return as of Sunday, while the Presidency had yet to publicly explain the circumstances surrounding the latest change.
Presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, had disclosed that Tinubu departed Nigeria on August 30 for London to commence the working vacation.

After spending about a week in London, the President travelled to Paris, France, where he held meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron and businessman Vincent Bolloré, whose business interests include Canal+, MultiChoice and Universal Music Group.
