Tinubu Seeks Reps Approval For N2.1trn Supplementary Budget

October 31, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, asked the House of Representatives to approve a total of N2,176,791,286,033 as supplementary appropriation bill for 2023.

The President also sent the 2024-2026 Medium Term Expenditure Framework & Fiscal Strategy Paper (MEET/FSP) to the House of Representatives for consideration.

The request was conveyed in a letter read at plenary by the Speaker, Abbas Tajudeen.

THEWILL earlier reported that the 2023 supplementary budget of N2.1 trillion was considered and approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at its meeting on Monday

President Tinubu said the supplementary budget is aimed at addressing labour wage adjustments, security, and other matters.
