Tinubu Returns To Abuja After Official Visit To Qatar

March 04, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu on Monday evening, returned to Abuja after a two-day State visit to Doha, in Qatar.

The President had departed Lagos on Thursday, for Qatar, to strengthen cooperation between the two nations in several areas, including security, cultural exchange and economic development.

A statement by Ajuri Ngelale, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, had said the President’s visit is in honour of an invitation by His Highness, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.

Tinubu, who arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, around 6:37 pm, was received on arrival by senior government officials led by Vice President Kashim Shettima, his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike; the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje and Director General of the Department of State Service (DSS), Yusuf Bichi.

While in Doha, the capital of Qatar, the President engaged with the highest authorities of the country, led by Sheikh Al Thani, as well as taking part in the Nigeria-Qatar Business and Investment Forum.

During the engagement between the Nigerian government and the Qatari authorities, President Tinubu witnessed the signing of multi-sectoral bilateral agreements.

President Tinubu on Sunday, assured the international business community in Qatar that Nigeria is ready for serious business as his administration will deal decisively with any entrenched interests in the country, that undermine investor confidence in the Nigerian economy, pledging to remove all bottlenecks standing in the way of profitable and legitimate enterprise.
