June 20, (THEWILL) – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Abuja to Paris, France, to participate in the review and signing of a New Global Financial Pact, which places vulnerable countries on priority list for support and investment.
Tinubu departed the presidential wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport, Abuja, Tuesday morning.
The Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communication and Strategy, Dele Alake, in a statement on Monday, said Tinubu will join other world leaders in the two-day Summit, which will be held in Paris, from Thursday, June 22 to 23.
The President will also use the opportunity to mobilise innovative financing for countries vulnerable to climate change, as well as foster development in low-income countries, and encourage investment in “green” infrastructure for the energy transition in emerging and developing economies.
He is accompanied on the trip by members of the Presidential Policy Advisory Council and senior government officials.
The President will return to Abuja on Saturday, June 24.
