Tinubu Decorates New Service Chiefs At Villa

July 31, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu, on Monday, decorated the newly appointed Service Chiefs with their new ranks.

The ceremony, which held inside the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, was witnessed by the vice president, Sen Kassim shetimma, top government officials and family members of the officers.

President Tinubu had on June 19, appointed the new security chiefs including Major General Christopher G Musa (Chief of Defence Staff); Major General T.A Lagbaja (Chief of Army Staff); Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla (Chief Naval Staff); Air Vice Marshal H. B. Abubakar (Chief of Air Staff) and Maj. Gen. EPA Undiandeye (Chief of Defense Intelligence).

Their appointments were subsequently confirmed on Thursday, July 13, at the Red Chamber.

While decorating the new Security Chiefs on Monday, President Tinubu, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief, presented the Service Chiefs with their higher office insignia, signifying the weight of the responsibilities they now bear.

Each Chief, resplendent in their uniforms adorned with their high office’s symbols, pledged their dedication to ensuring the peace, unity, and security of the Nigerian state.
