November 06, (THEWILL) – Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, has expressed his sympathy with the Canadian government, diplomatic community, and all persons affected by a fire incident which occurred on Monday, at the Canadian High Commission in Abuja.
The President, in a statement issued by Ajuri Ngelale, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, assured the Canadian authorities of the full support of the Nigerian government in the aid of diplomatic and local staff of the High Commission, who were particularly affected by the incident.
THEWILL reports that a generator explosion which occurred at the powerhouse of the High Commission in Abuja on Monday, killed at least two staff, while several others were injured.
President Tinubu prayed for the repose of the departed souls and wished all injured persons a rapid and full recovery.
