October 25, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu has written to the Senate for expeditious consideration of the confirmation of the appointment of Adamu Aliyu as Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
The President also asked the Red Chamber to screen and confirm the appointment of Clifford Okwudiri Oparaodu as Secretary to the Commission.
The request was conveyed in a letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio and read at plenary on Wednesday.
THEWILL reports that President Tinubu had on Tuesday, October 17, appointed Aliyu and Oparaodu as ICPC Chairman and Secretary respectively, pending Senate confirmation.
