December 16, (THEWILL) – In the build-up to Thursday’s Premier League match against Everton, three unnamed Chelsea players have reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.

Mateo Kovacic, who had tested positive last week and will be able to return to training on Friday and is already out for Thomas Tuchel.

The Blues have already detected three more positives and while there is no mention of identities of the players who contracted the illness, it is believed that all three took part in a group training session on Wednesday.

Two of those three were said to be in Tuchel’s game preparations and this will force the German manager to alter his squad composition for the game with the foreknowledge of already being heavily short-staffed of many first-team names.
