Terrorists Attack Kaduna Community, Kill Two, Kidnap Over 50 

December 03, (THEWILL) – Suspected terrorists on Friday attacked the Ungwan Gimbiya community in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing two persons while over 50 members of the community were abducted.

Sources said, the terrorists stormed the community on Friday, selecting their targets, adding that over 13 members of families were visited by the terrorists.

A cleric, who craved for anonymity, said: “The bandits struck in the early hours of today (Friday).

“They invaded Ungwan Gimbiya Community of Sabo in Chikun Local Government; they abducted over 50 people and killed two.

“A total number of 13 families were visited by the bandits. The attack lasted for about two hours with heavy gunshots.”

There is no official or police statement on the incident yet.

Ungwan Gimbiya, located around Sabo had witnessed a mass exodus of residents from the area following the activities of bandits in the area.

The community is a few kilometers away from Kakau Daji where over 60 worshippers of Emmanuel Baptist Church were kidnapped on Sunday, October 31, 2021 during church service.

Two abductees were killed on the spot; two others were shot dead later, one was injured and hospitalised. 61 of the Worshippers are being held captive, while their abductors are demanding 99 million as a ransom for their release.
