Tems, Wizkid Win NAACP Awards

February 21, (THEWILL) – Nigerian superstars, Tems and Wizkid, were part of the first set of winners to be announced in the 2023 National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People Awards.

Tems’ ‘No Woman No Cry’ cover for Black Panther won the Outstanding International Song category.

Wizkid’s feature on Chris Brown’s ‘Call Me Everyday’ won the Outstanding Collaboration (Contemporary) category.

Other winners include Beyonce, who won three categories including Outstanding Female Artist, Outstanding Soul/R&b song for ‘Cuff It’ and Outstanding Album for ‘Renaissance’.

The winners were announced on the first night of the show on Monday night.

The NAACP award celebrates black entertainers.
