February 09, (THEWILL) – Temilade Openiyi, aka Tems, is set to add another feather to her cap in the United States. Her song, Found, has exceeded over 500,000 in sales.
According to report by chart news platform, Chart Data, Tems’ “Found” has surpassed 500,000 units in sales in the United States.
The feat will earn her a gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America, RIAA.
Gold, Platinum, Multiplatinum and Diamond are used to represent different units of huge sales in the United States.
500,000 units sales earns a gold certification, 1 million unit sales for platinum, two million sales for Multiplatinum, while ten million for Diamond.
In 2021, ‘Essence’, a song by Wizkid, which featured Tems got a gold certification and double platinum in 2022.
Tems gained international success since breaking through in 2020 and has been featured by Drake, Beyonce, and Future. For her efforts on Future’s ‘Wait For U,’ Tems earned her first Grammy on Monday.
