May 15, (THEWILL) – American actress and director, Tasha Smith, was one of the guests that attended the eighth edition of the Africa Movies Viewers Choice Award on Saturday, which returned amidst pomp and glitz after a year of Lull due to Covid19.
Tasha, who attended with her sister, Sidra, had nothing, but only praises for the Nigerian fashion scene.
“Nigeria is not playing with fashion. These women are out here slaying”, Sidra said.
“They be beating their faces honey and the clothes. And the men, they dress! The clothes are incredible, the fashion is incredible, the talent is incredible. I want all of my brothers and sisters out there in America to make sure you get a chance to visit Nigeria”, Tasha added.
In addition to presenting the sum of N1m to the AMVCA Trailblazer Award winner, Teniola Aladese, she added the sum of $2000 of her money to the cash prize, as well as a few months of acting class in her acting school in Hollywood.
Tasha said that she and her twin had traced their ancestry and found they were 46 percent Nigerian.
