Troops of Sector 2, Joint Task Force North-West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have arrested four suspected members of the Lakurawa terrorist group and rescued 23 kidnapped civilians in separate operations across Sokoto State.

The allegations, reportedly circulated by blogger @radical.okoja.bia and others, claimed that the Board had prohibited mixed gatherings of men and women in churches and directed that church services be conducted separately.

According to Usman, the establishment of the committee demonstrated the commitment of the Zamfara State Government to complement ongoing military and other security operations with structured peacebuilding, rehabilitation and reintegration measures.
