Suspected Kidnappers Abduct Eze Ndigbo In Ondo

November 23, (THEWILL) – Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted the Eze Ndigbo of Ifon in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, Chief Donatus Okereke.

Okereke is a popular businessman in Ifon community.

A community leader and secretary to the regent of Ifon, Olaniyi Eni Olotu, who disclosed the development, said his abductors shot into the air before forcefully taking him into the bush.

He added that the gunmen took away large sums of money from Okereke’s vehicle.

Olotu said the Police and Amotekun have been contacted over the incident.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed that the vehicle of Okereke was seen in the middle of the road and that his number had not been going through since Monday.

“It’s actually a case of suspected kidnapping because bullet shells were said to have been found where they saw his vehicle

“The DPO within the axis has mobilised his men to search for him”, Odunlami said.
