September 20, (THEWILL) – In preparation for their match against Algeria, the Super Eagles of Nigeria held their first practice in Constantine with 18 of the invited players in camp on Tuesday.
On September 27, the Nigerian senior men’s national football team will go to Oran to take on the 2019 African champions, and the players are in camp from their football clubs in respect of the international break.
The players that have already reported to camp, include Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi, Everton’s Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey of Ajax, Raphael Onyedika of Club Brugge, William Troost-Ekong of Watford, Hoffenheim’s Kevin Akpoguma, Kenneth Omeruo of Leganes, Hajduk’s Chidozie Awaziem, Valentine Ozornwafor of Sochaux, Torino’s Ola Aina, and Zaidu Sanusi of Porto.
Returning goalkeeper Maduka Okoye of Watford, Nantes’ Moses Simon, Taiwo Awoniyi of Nottingham Forest, Hertha Berlin’s Chidera Ejuke, Cyriel Dessers of Cremonese, and Lorient’s Terem Moffi, are also in the Super Eagles squad.
There were three late arrivals on Tuesday, as Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman, Godwin Saviour of Casa Pia, and Hapoel Jerusalem’s Adeleye Adebayo, joined to bring the number in camp to 21. Omonia’s Francis Uzoho, Ebube Duru of Rivers United, and Leicester’s Kelechi Iheanacho are still expected.
