July 09, (THEWILL) – South Korean international, Lee Kang-in, has completed a move to join Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain, from Real Mallorca.
The 22-year-old midfielder signed a five-year contract with the French club after just two seasons in Spain’s La Liga, where he amassed 73 appearances, scoring seven goals, and providing 10 assists during his time at Real Mallorca. Lee expressed his excitement about joining PSG, with particular emphasis on the club’s global stature and the opportunity to play alongside some of the world’s finest players.
Lee’s transfer to Les Parisiens marks the club’s fourth major signing this summer, following the deals that brought in the likes of midfielder Manuel Ugarte from Sporting Lisbon, central defender Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan, and striker Marco Asensio from Real Madrid. PSG has been active in the transfer market, bolstering their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
In addition to strengthening their playing staff, the French club also secured the services of former Spain and Barcelona coach Luis Enrique, who was appointed as coach following the dismissal of Christophe Galtier earlier in the week.
On the other hand, there have been some notable exits from Le Parc des Princes. The most high profile of these include the departures of are Argentine legend Lionel Messi, who moved to Inter Miami as a free agent, and Spanish centre-back Sergio Ramos.
