BEVERLY HILLS, March 23, (THEWILL) – Benue State’s Governor Samuel Ortom has said he had no reason to raise a false alarm and stage-manage the attack launched against him at the weekend on his farm if it never happened.
While expressing sadness about those who doubted the incident, the Governor wondered the benefit he would derive from raising a false allegation.
Ortom spoke in an interview with State House correspondents shortly after he met with President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Governor told reporters that he did not pray that his worst enemy should pass through what he went through.
He said Buhari had accepted some suggestions he made on the security situation in Benue State.
The Governor insisted that he did not do anything wrong in enacting a law beneficial to the state.
