May 17, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has reacted to the criticism he received after unveiling his second wife and son.
The actor had made a shocking revelation last month on Instagram. He stated that he has a second wife, Judy Austin, and welcomed a son, Star Munachimso, with her.
In a new video posted on his Instagram, the actor took his critics to the gallows. He advised them to mind their own business as his personal problem is not theirs.
“It’s my life. I have the right to take 100 wives. I don’t insult you and talk about your personal problems, you have no right to talk about mine. Shame on all of you for channeling your energy on my personal problem.”
He also stated that the energy used in pointing accusing fingers on him should be channeled to the problem facing the country.
“You can channel the energy you used in abusing me on the challenges the country is battling with.”
He said he was advised to keep quiet, but silence is not the best answer. He also revealed that some people advised him to hold a press conference so that he can address the issue.
“A lot of people called me to hold a press conference. But I must ask, have you asked the government to call a press conference on the problem of Nigeria? It’s my own life and I am entitled to my private life.”
He also added that his first wife is the only one he owes an explanation.
“The only person I owe an explanation is May, my first wife. When and how I make the explanation is also my problem, not yours. A lot of men, even clergymen have children all over the place, but they don’t have the gut to come out and own up, but I came out and owned up.”
Recall that the social media was agog last month after the actor unveiled his second family, consisting of his second wife and son.
He was highly criticised and condemned for his actions, while his first wife stated that she has left them to God. She later revealed that her religion does not permit polygamy. She thanked her fans for watching out for her.
