Senator Wayas’ Body Arrives Nigeria From London

July 09, (THEWILL) – The body of late former Senate President, Joseph Wayas, has arrived in Nigeria from London.

According to a statement signed and made available by the convener of Who Is Who in Northern Cross River, Dr. Don Cklaimz Enamhe, the corpse of the late political game-changer arrived from “Heathrow Airport, London, UK, on board British Airways flight BA 083 to the International Airport, Abuja, Nigeria, at 4.40am” on Wednesday.

A huge crowd of Who Is Who In Cross River North was on ground to receive the corpse, before it was driven in a historic motorcade to the National Hospital, Abuja, where it was deposited as the burial committee of the pro-Cross River North swings into final funeral plans.

According to Dr. Enamhe, the eventual arrival of the body of the late political exemplar and star of Nigeria’s second republic era “marks the first remarkable step by Who Is Who In Cross River North Forum to give him a befitting burial”.

Speaking further, he said, “All that this group has done was borne out of a patriotic zeal to intervene and assist in the burial processes.”

Meanwhile, the home of the late politician in Asokoro, Abuja is grappling with a huge number of sympathisers and members of the Cross River North Forum coordinating activities in a steady and unfailing build-up to the final interment.

The Cross River North Forum, a cross-section of the good people of Cross River State, and the Cross River State Diaspora Community have expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio; Cross River State Governor, Prince Bassey Edet Otu; Senator representing Cross River North, Agwom Jarigbe Agwom, and all those who facilitated the arrival of the body of Senator Joseph Wayas, GCON, from London, where he died.

A comprehensive burial programme is expected to be announced later as the family of the deceased and the Cross River North Forum harmonise their stakes.
