December 26, ) THEWILL) – The Senate has announced the postponement of its plenary sitting earlier fixed for Friday, 29th December to Saturday 30th.
This was disclosed in a statement signed on Tuesday, by the Clerk of Senate, Chinedu Francis Akubueze.
The statement reads, “This is to inform Distinguished Senators, that the plenary sitting of the Senate, which was scheduled to be held on Friday, December 29th, 2023, by 10.00 am, has been postponed to Saturday, December 30th, 2023 by 10.00 am.
“Any inconvenience that this shift may cause to Distinguished Senators is regretted.”
The Red Chamber, had last week adjourned plenary to Friday, 29th December, to enable it to pass the 2024 Appropriation Bill forwarded to it by President Bola Tinubu.
President Tinubu had presented before the joint session of the National Assembly, a N27.5 trillion for the 2024 Appropriation Bill.
