November 02 (THEWILL) – The Senate has passed the N2,176,791,286,033 trillion 2023 Supplementary Appropriation Bill.
The passage came after the lawmakers adopted the harmonised report of the Appropriation Committee of both chambers of the National Assembly on the 2023 Supplementary Appropriation Bill, as submitted by Chairman of the Appropriations Committee, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (APC Ogun West).
Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, announced the approval after the consideration of the report and supported through a voice vote at plenary on Thursday.
President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, October 31, requested approval of the National Assembly for the N2.1 trillion supplementary budget, a day after it was approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
