BEVERLY HILLS, February 13, (THEWILL) – Kanye West went all out for his Yeezy Season 3 Collection debut and album launch.
The Madison Square Garden in New York City which served as the venue for the dual event was packed to the brim with celebrities and fans.
Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Karlie Kloss, Wale, Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, Jennifer Hudson, Gigi Hadid, Caitlyn Jenner, Anna Wintour and more were spotted at the event.
Kim, in the company of her sisters and daughter, North made a showy entrance into the event rocking a new look – a platinum blonde hair.
Khloe’s ex-husband, Lamar Odom also made his first public appearance since he was hospitalized for a drug overdose. Kanye was seen leading him to his seat.
show commenced. The man of the night, Kanye was seen rocking a tee shirt from his collection which featured the faces of his late mother, Donda West and his late father-in-law, Robert Kardashian.
The Kardashian-Jenner girls were all decked out in custom-made Balmain for Yeezy which Kanye announced he flew out to Paris to design with the help of Olivier Rousteing.
His new album, The Life Of Pablo which he previewed at the event features artistes like Rihanna, Kid Cudi, Frank Ocean, The Weeknd and more. TLOP is getting a lot of nods from fans and haters alike, with lots of social media users declaring they’re camping out until it officially drops.
He is however, also getting a lot of backlash from a lot of other people – Taylor Swift fans – who are mad at him for a perceived diss to the singer who Kanye grossly disrespected in 2009 but later apologized to. In his track, ‘Famous’ Kanye insinuated he made Taylor famous and might one day have sexual relations with her. He rapped, ‘I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. I made that b*tch famous.’
It wouldn’t be Kanye if he didn’t rile some people up, right? LOL.
The new collection, Yeezy 3, debuted at the event had almost the same vibe as his previous collections. However, he infused more colours into these ones and also beadings and pearls as seen on the pieces rocked by Kourtney and Kim.
Supermodels Naomi Campbell and Alek Wek joined hundreds of other models on the runway to showcase the new collection.
