Security Operatives Intercept Kogi LGA Chairman With Cash, Ammunition

November 11, (THEWILL) – The council chairman of Igalamela Local Government Area of Kogi State, James Onoja, has been arrested by Security operatives.

Onoja was allegedly intercepted on Saturday, with cash and ammunition packed in several ‘Ghana-must-go’ bags.

The money and ammunition were allegedly meant for use during the state gubernatorial election.

In a video of the incident, Onoja, who wore a white Caftan, was forced to sit on the ground with other boys at an army checkpoint.

Police authorities in Kogi State have not confirmed the incident.
