September 21, (THEWILL) – Juventus failed to break their scoring drought in Serie A, drawing 0-0 with Napoli on Saturday. The result left former Juventus Manager, Antonio Conte, still seeking his first victory against his old club.

Despite controlling 64.7% of possession, Juventus struggled to create meaningful chances. Their only shot on target came from Kenan Yildiz early in the second half. The home side’s lack of offensive output continues to be a concern in their domestic campaign.

Napoli had the better opportunities to claim all three points. Scott McTominay tested Michele Di Gregorio with a long-range effort in the first half, but Romelu Lukaku could not capitalise on the rebound. Just before the interval, Di Gregorio was alert to tip Matteo Politano’s free-kick over the crossbar.

The result leaves Napoli in third place in the Serie A table with 10 points. Juventus sit just below them in fourth position on nine points. Both teams will be looking to improve their attacking form in upcoming fixtures.

Napoli will be more satisfied with the point, having created the clearer chances away from home. For Juventus, questions remain about their ability to convert possession into goals as they aim to challenge for top honours in Italian football.
