Scam: Air Peace Alerts Public To Fake UK Website

April 02, (THEWILL) – West Africa’s largest carrier, Air Peace has alerted the public to a fake UK website, www.flyairpeace.uk, purporting to be its official website.

Recall that Air Peace had on Saturday, March 30, commenced its flight from Lagos to Gatwick Airport, in London.

In a disclaimer by its management on Tuesday, the company urged members of the public to ignore the site, designed by fraudsters to defraud unsuspecting individuals.

According to Air Peace, its only official website remains www.flyairpeace.com.

Titled: “DISCLAIMER: FAKE AIR PEACE UK WEBSITE”, the statement read: “Our attention has been drawn to a particular website www.flyairpeace.uk purporting to be an official Air Peace website and defrauding unsuspecting individuals.

“The creators used some of our brand collateral to design the fake website and presented it as our booking platform.

“We would like to dissociate the Air Peace brand from this fraudulent site because it is not owned by us.

“The only official website of Air Peace remains www.flyairpeace.com.

“Members of the public should ignore the site as it is impersonating Air Peace and fleecing travellers.”
