October 02, (THEWILL) – The newly inaugurated executive chairman of Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Chief Uche Nwordu, has described as false and unfounded, recent rumours purporting plans to bring northern youths to an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp in Ehime Mbano.
Chief Nwordu stated this during a chat with newsmen shortly after his inauguration as the executive chairman of Ehime Mbano LGA. Nwordu said the place being purported as an IDP camp in the rumours circulating on various social media platforms, remained a centre for the National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN.
He described the rumours as baseless, urging people to disregard it.
Chief Nwordu reiterated his determination to improve health and education in the LGA, including rural electrification.
