March 15, (THEWILL) – Al-Nassr advanced to the semi-finals of the King Cup with a 3-1 victory over Abha, but Cristiano Ronaldo once again appeared frustrated despite his team’s victory.

The frustration of the Portuguese star was obvious as he failed to score for the third consecutive game since being named February’s Saudi Pro League player of the month.

The match saw Sami Al Najei and Abdullah Al Khaibari score for Al-Nassr before Mohammed Maran took advantage of a goalkeeping error to add a third. Abdulfattah Adam scored a consolation goal for Abha 20 minutes later.

Ronaldo’s frustration boiled over as the first half drew to a close, with the forward throwing his arm up in the air and booting the ball down the pitch after the referee blew the whistle for the interval while he was dribbling past an opposition player.

He received a yellow card and continued to gesture at the official while making his way down the tunnel. Al-Nassr will now face Al-Wedha in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, Al-Ittihad, winners of the Saudi Super Cup in January, advanced to the semi-finals and will take on Al-Hilal. The latter defeated Al-Fateh, with Odion Ighalo scoring the third goal in the 3-1 victory.
