BEVERLY HILLS, July 3, (THEWILL) – Roland Ewubare, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s Chief Operating Officer, Joint Ventures and Business Development, has resigned from the post.

Ewubare, from Delta State, was previously the Chief Operating Officer, Upstream of the corporation before he was moved to head the joint ventures and business development a few months back in a move many insiders in the sector told THEWILL was a kind of demotion.

Ewubare, who turned in his resignation Wednesday according to reports, cited personal reasons for his sudden resignation, debunking insinuations that he resigned due to a brewing cold war with Mele Kyari, the Group Managing Director of the corporation.

He had also served as Group General Manager, National Petroleum Investments and Management Services (NAPIMS) and was the Managing Director of the Integrated Data Services Limited (IDSL).
