June 30, (THEWILL) – Tottenham Hotspur transfer business is moving swiftly with rising optimism that Everton’s Richarlison will join the north London side before the weekend.
The Brazilian forward has emerged as Spurs’ top offensive target this summer as Antonio Conte seeks to assemble a team that can outperform its fourth-place result from the previous campaign. The two clubs are in the final stages of an agreement and all personal details and transfer money have already been agreed upon with Richarlison set for his medical.
Even though Harry Winks’ departure is not directly related to the Richarlison trade, it is nonetheless anticipated that he will go the other way and leave Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for Goodison Park. Richarlison will cost Spurs £60 million, surpassing the £55 million they paid for Tanguy Ndombele in 2019 to become their most expensive player.
The Argentine will join Tottenham as the club’s fourth acquisition of the summer after deals for Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic, and Yves Bissouma were finalised. Clement Lenglet, a centre back for Barcelona, has also agreed to join on a season-long loan deal.
